I don't have experience with Joe's or Canadian Tire, but excel has only been good to me, I had to wait a while for my in car lessons, but that didn't bother me, when Gerry had time, he would text me and ask if I was available for a lesson. Driving school has helped me quite a bit, but I would recommend Excel. I am from out of town and was in Castlegar visiting family last summer and it was extremely hot. I highly recommend Canadian Tire in Cochrane to everyone.
The staff are constantly dealing with abusive customers. Spence 2017-05-03 I may be the only person to not have a negative experience at the automotive shop at this Canadian Tire. I took it to another mechanic who told me that all but one of the issues they mentioned was real. When you are looking for a tool or automotive part, you will have a very hard time to find help. Do yourself a favour, go elsewhere for your car service needs.

The repair cost 300 dollars and caused major electrical and engine issues. For the store itself they refuse to do a proper inventory so 9 times out of 10 they do not have what you need and act like you are putting them out in some way when you ask if they can order in the item that says its already in stock but isn't. The parts department knows nothing about parts and would not help us when we went in looking for something, said they didn't have the part which by the way was a universal part and didn't offer to look for it. Next night, I was trying to cancel the order to prevent the charge to my card going through, only to find the online website was down. I was told to come by at 8pm to pick up my car by the automotive staff working the evening of Nov 28th, 2016 , come 8:00 I received no call saying it was ready so i called to double check and was told to come, got a ride and arrived around 8:30. Too bad it's located in a mall that won't allow it to operate service bays.
